HybridInformation Technology$200k–$250k/yrFull-time

About the Role

Mizuho’s data operating model comprises enterprise-wide groups and federated data domains to drive accountability and management of data. The federated operating model ensures minimal overlaps and reduced handoffs of data attributes across the data lifecycle. Federated data domains are defined according to the types of data originated and consumed by the enterprise (transactional, derived, and master/reference) to support Mizuho’s business activities and operations with no unclaimed or overlapping data elements.

The Risk & Compliance Data Domain manages data related to Mizuho’s Risk Management and Compliance processes, including risk aggregation, regulatory reporting, and controls. As the Risk & Compliance Data Steward, you will serve as the strategic lead and subject matter expert for this domain, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with enterprise standards. You will drive the vision and strategy for key platforms supporting the domain, engage with business contacts to understand data requirements, and collaborate with Technology partners to prioritize and refine development efforts.

This role includes managing Data Steward(s) and Data Quality Analyst(s) supporting the Risk & Compliance Data Domain and sub-domains.

    • Oversee remediation of Data Quality issues by prioritizing issues, reviewing and challenging remediation plans, with a focus on issues impacting regulatory accuracy, compliance oversight, or risk decisions.
  • Leadership & Reporting Structure
    • Lead and coordinate a team of data professionals supporting the Risk and Compliance domains, including direct management responsibilities (e.g., Data Quality Analyst) and oversight of sub-domain stewards.
    • Establish, develop, and oversee a network of Sub-Domain Data Stewards across the Risk and Compliance organizations, ensuring appropriate domain coverage, clear accountability, and effective execution of Data Stewardship responsibilities.
    • Partner with the Data Management Office and business leaders to formalize the Sub-Domain Data Steward model, strengthening ownership and focus for critical data assets.
