Risk Advisory Intern - Summer 2027
About the role
Risk Advisory Interns are responsible for working on client engagements, including:
- Assessing business and information technology processes and system internal controls.
- Executing enterprise, operational, information technology and third-party risk management and compliance programs.
- Executing internal audit plans, including information technology internal audits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand, document, and assess various client operations, processes, systems, controls, and programs, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with conducting risk assessments to inform enterprise risk, operational risk and third-party risk management projects, programs and internal audit plans.
- Assess transactions, processes, systems, and controls to support assessments, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory compliance, and internal audit projects.
- Obtain and analyze data, identify trends, and visualize results using commercially available analytics solutions.
- Leverage analytics, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and other technology aids to advance your understanding, drive throughput on project objectives, and deliver client services efficiently and effectively.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with team members and clients, and work effectively with client personnel at all levels.
- Collaborate closely with team members and clients to understand project approach, identify and manage project risks, execute assigned project responsibilities, and recommend opportunities to improve processes, internal controls, risk management, and compliance.
- Obtain an understanding of relevant industry trends, business objectives, operations, processes, systems, etc. applicable to assigned client projects.
- Assist with business development activities including conducting research, contributing to proposals, and other activities as appropriate.
- Participate in Firm activities such as recruiting, training, officewide activities, and more.
- Other duties as assigned.

Risk Advisory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS or related field.
- Desire to pursue CPA, PMP, CISA, CIA, CISSP, CAMS, CISM, or other relevant license/certification preferred.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Available to travel at least 25% as required.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
