Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Right of Way Practice Leader with 10+ years of experience to join our Richmond, Virginia office!

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, and expand practice teams for ROW in and around Virginia
  • Aid in negotiations and acquisition of property and easements needed for both public and private projects
  • Lead with integrity and sound business principles
  • Provide vision, business planning, and strategy
  • Establish goals
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Communicate openly with partners and team members
  • Grow and lead a ROW practice

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the right of way space
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a vision for growth within the ROW team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write and communicate findings clearly
  • Demonstrated experience in oral presentations and public speaking
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Previous experience with the Department of Transportation (DOT) or public roadway projects specific to the state where the position is located is desirable
  • A strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • A high attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • A detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
