Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Right of Way Practice Leader with 10+ years of experience to join our Richmond, Virginia office!
Responsibilities
- Manage, lead, and expand practice teams for ROW in and around Virginia
- Aid in negotiations and acquisition of property and easements needed for both public and private projects
- Lead with integrity and sound business principles
- Provide vision, business planning, and strategy
- Establish goals
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
- Communicate openly with partners and team members
- Grow and lead a ROW practice
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the right of way space
- An entrepreneurial spirit and a vision for growth within the ROW team
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write and communicate findings clearly
- Demonstrated experience in oral presentations and public speaking
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Previous experience with the Department of Transportation (DOT) or public roadway projects specific to the state where the position is located is desirable
- A strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- A high attention to detail
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- A detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
