Primary Responsibilities
- Property ownership and valuation research
- Real estate document preparation
- Preparing real estate documents such as easements, offer letters and MOA’s
- Title and appraisal reviews
- Negotiating to acquire land rights for transportation and utility projects
- Making presentations to property owners, public agencies and clients regarding developing and constructing transportation and utility projects
- Performing field meetings and visits to active construction sites
- Conducting quality assurance reviews of project deliverables
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in real estate or 120 hours of documented real estate training
- Ability to understand and work in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations specific to the real estate and right-of-way industry, such as the Uniform Act, FERC and NEPA
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Strong communication skills, basic understanding of negotiation and presentation skills, and ability to work flexible hours and effectively with people of all types
- Ability to work confidently with clients, property owners and occupants
- Effectively balance office and field work in a collaborative and deadline-sensitive manner
- Availability to work flexible hours and coordinate closely with management
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to productively collaborate and communicate with team members
- Ability to interpret land descriptions and survey and engineering drawings
- Basic understanding of real estate appraisal fundamentals
- Ability to effectively manage schedule and tasks
- Proficiency with standard technology tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Earth
- Experience acquiring property rights for Transportation and/or Power projects
- Certification from the International Right of Way Association
- Permitting experience within Colorado
Pay
The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Denver: $76,577.00 - $103,604.00
