Rigger/Driver

Responsibilities

• Aids the crane operator in setting up equipment.
• Aids the crane operator in maintaining the crane and accessory equipment.
• Utilizes proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of loads.
• Performs hand signals during crane operations.
• Secures equipment to the trailer before operating the truck.
• Inspects and fills out truck inspection reports.
• Reports mechanical defects to supervisors.
• Maintains and documents equipment inspections and repairs.
• Cleans and maintains assigned vehicles.
• Maintains annual State inspection and license plates.
• Communicates job assignments to the dispatcher.
• Prepares for the next day's job before ending the shift.
• Completes payroll timesheets.
• Answers the phone promptly.
• Reviews and updates crane manuals.
• Cleans and organizes equipment in the shop and yard.
• Cleans the shop, washes racks, and breaks room.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of heavy haul experience.
• Current state-issued CDL Class A Driver's License.
• 1-3 years of rigging and commercial driving experience.
