About the role
MEI Industrial Solutions is a leading provider of rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating, and export packing services. The Rigger Apprenticeship Trainee Program is designed for individuals without prior knowledge of the machinery moving industry or rigging skills, offering a pathway to a fulfilling career as a skilled Rigger.
Responsibilities
- Moving heavy, expensive, and often sensitive equipment in construction and operating facility environments.
- Demonstrate dedication to safety, professionalism, and expertise in all aspects of the job.
- Participate in hands-on training, activities, and assessments in lab or field environments.
- Gain proficiency in rigging skills necessary for various machinery moving/rigging positions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Commitment to learning and willingness to complete all program assignments and assessments.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Willingness and ability to travel for training, if applicable.
