Rigger Apprenticeship Trainee Program

MEI is tasked daily with moving heavy, expensive, and often highly sensitive equipment in construction and operating facility environments for customers both large and small. This type of industrial liability necessitates a dedication to safety, professionalism, and expertise at every level and at all times.

About the Role

The Rigging Apprenticeship Program has been developed by industry experts and is designed to teach the core rigging skills necessary for individuals without any knowledge of the machinery moving industry or without rigging skills to start a fulfilling career as a skilled Rigger with opportunities to advance and grow in the industry through targeted skills development and training oversight.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on training, activities, and assessments in lab or field environments.
• Gain proficiency in the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) necessary to perform in various Machinery Moving/Rigging positions.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment year-round.
• Must be able to work in a highly functioning team environment.
• Must display the highest levels of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
• Must take pride in your work and in the company.
• Must communicate openly and strive for peak performance in daily tasks.
• Must know and deliver the quality service MEI's customers have come to expect.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be committed to learning and be willing to complete all assignments, tasks, and assessments required of you by the program.
• Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).
