Rig Electrician
About the role
The Rig Electrician is primarily responsible for planning layouts, installing, and repairing wires, electrical fixtures, and rig control equipment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute electrical installations and repairs on drilling rigs
- Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical issues as needed
- Work closely with other tradespeople to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass a post-offer physical examination
- Requires 3-5 years of prior electrical or electronic controls experience
- Must have proper legal authorization to work in the country where the rig is operating
- Steel-toe work boots required
- (International positions only) Passport required
Qualifications
The Rig Electrician position requires a combination of technical skills and hands-on experience. Candidates should have a strong background in electrical systems and rigging, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $25.00 - $34.50 per hour. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, performance, and other considerations permitted by applicable law.
Schedule
The Rig Electrician position is typically an onsite role, requiring regular attendance at the work site.
