Rides Operator - Part Time

From greeting guests at our exhibits to operating thrilling rides and ensuring safety procedures are followed, the fun never stops for our part-time Rides Operators in the Guest Experience department. About the role

Part-time variable hourly position (20-29 hours per week) with flexible scheduling, including evening, weekend, and seasonal shifts. Supports two of the Zoo's signature events: ZooBoo and Christmas at the Zoo.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor mechanical rides and attractions (train ride & carousel).
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all attractions and rides by both staff and guests.
• Provide friendly, professional service to Zoo guests and fellow staff members; guide, direct, and engage guests with a detailed and pleasant manner.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Support special events at the zoo, such as ZooBoo and Christmas at the Zoo.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid Indiana driver's license with a record insurable through the Zoo's insurance.
• Customer service experience is a plus, though this is an entry-level position.
• Cooperative and team-oriented personality with a friendly and courteous attitude.

Pay

$13.00 per hour.
