Rides Operator

Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Indiana driver's license with a record insurable through the Zoo's insurance.
• Primary responsibility is to operate/monitor mechanical rides and attractions (train ride & carousel).
• Ensures safety procedures are being followed at all attractions and rides by both staff and guests.
• Provides friendly, professional service to Zoo guests and fellow staff members; guides, directs, and engages guests with a detailed and pleasant manner.
• Supports during special events at the zoo, such as ZooBoo and Christmas at the Zoo.

Requirements

• Must enjoy working as a team but be able to work independently as well.

Qualifications

Though this is an entry level position, any experience working in customer service is a plus!
