About the role
The Real Estate practice group of Hunton seeks a full-time, partnership-track associate in the Richmond office to join its thriving real estate practice. Candidates should have at least two years of real estate experience, ideally with experience in handling either debt or equity transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, large-scale development, and/or joint venture structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record; exceptional analytical, organizational, and writing skills; and be a true team player. Virginia bar membership is preferred, and in any event required within one year of joining the firm.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of real estate transactions, including debt and equity deals, acquisitions, dispositions, large-scale developments, and joint ventures.
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide strategic advice and solutions.
- Draft and review contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support client needs.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Assist in managing client relationships and building professional networks.
Requirements
- At least two years of real estate experience, preferably with a focus on debt or equity transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, large-scale development, and/or joint venture structures.
- Strong academic record.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred Virginia bar membership, required within one year of joining the firm.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the Virginia Bar.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position for full-time partnership-track associates is $235,000 to $435,000. Actual salary offers may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education, training, skill sets, licensure and certifications, practice area, experience, internal equity, and market data.
