About the role

The role of the Rheumatology Medical Assistant (MA-C) or LPN involves providing comprehensive support to rheumatologists and their teams. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, managing medical records, and ensuring smooth operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care including intake assessments, medication management, and coordination of care plans.
  • Manage and maintain accurate medical records according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team initiatives.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling correspondence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Skills

  • Proficient in electronic health record systems.
  • Knowledge of rheumatology principles and practices.

Pay

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
