Rheumatologist

About the role

Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is the largest private Rheumatology practice in the United States, with over 60 providers, 15 sites, and 400 employees delivering care for rheumatological, podiatric, and electromyography patients. We are seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate Physician to join our team of providers. The Attending Physician will collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and clinical/administrative teams to assess and treat patients with rheumatologic conditions. Our clinical offices feature digital x-ray, in-house laboratories, an IV infusion suite, and on-site musculoskeletal ultrasound technologists.

Responsibilities

• Treat rheumatic and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus, and ankylosing spondylitis.
• Order diagnostic imaging to identify signs of systemic or autoimmune disorders.
• Monitor the progress of existing rheumatic disorders.
• Prescribe medications to improve symptoms or slow disease progression.
• Perform physical assessments to better understand patient symptoms.
• Educate patients about autoimmune disorders and discuss treatment plans.
• Design tailored treatment plans.
• Assess joint-related conditions.
• Evaluate lab results and other advanced tests.
• Provide treatment recommendations.

Requirements

• Open/good standing, active Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent communicator who is empathetic and a respectful listener.
• Sound medical knowledge and high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Highly desirable: experience in Rheumatology and effective EHR skills.
