We are seeking a skilled RHEL Engineer with strong AWS experience to support, maintain, and enhance our enterprise Linux infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain RHEL-based systems across on-prem and AWS environments
- Build and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPCs, IAM, EBS, and networking components
- Automate system provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
- Perform system hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation in alignment with security policies
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability and uptime
- Manage and maintain Linux services, including web servers, databases, and middleware
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred)
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with patch management and security compliance frameworks
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing)
Qualifications
- Red Hat certification (RHCSA, RHCE)
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Splunk)
