About the role
In this Winter/Spring Co-Op internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules, working with experienced engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Responsibilities
- Work with experienced engineers to validate/develop RF products such as LNA, RF switches, Couplers, and integrated front-end module products.
- Measure RF products’ performance across supply, temperature, and frequency.
- Create compliance matrices against specifications, plot results, and analyze data.
- Participate and present in data reviews.
- Perform lab testing using standard RF test equipment.
- Work with a design engineer to help optimize matching circuits and verify designs.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS or MS/PhD program and must be returning to school after the completion of this Co-Op.
- Must be available for a 6-month Co-Op term prior to graduation within the Winter/Spring 2027 term (January – June 2027).
- Must have knowledge of RF parameters (Gain, NF, insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, etc.).
- Must have experience using RF equipment such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and RF sources.
- Strong background in RF and Microwave designs.
- Experience with design tools such as ADS/HFSS and/or Cadence Virtuoso.
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact.
- Strong career interest in RF/microwave testing and engineering.
- Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with others.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of coding is a plus.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
Pay
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, job duties, requirements, and work location.
