About the role
The RF Test Engineer position at HII-MT is responsible for technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsibilities include performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Requirements
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with advanced security checks.
- Must be able to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able and willing to work outside in adverse weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree in a related field.
- Interest in Radar or Electronic Warfare System design and/or testing.
- Experience with RF chain analysis and radar system performance analysis, as well as all aspects of test execution.
- Knowledge of EW and Radar Signal Processing Techniques, Sensor System Integration and Test, and Electronic Warfare and Radar Performance Analysis Tools such as MATLAB.
- Hands-on test, integration, and verification support across lab facilities requiring skills in algorithms, software, hardware, and networking.
- Support technical publications in developing for customer releases test planning, test procedures, and test reports.
- Support technical and functional leadership through the identification of risk.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods of time. Deployment times will vary and typically last between two and three weeks.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is $68,050.00 - $95,214.00 per year. When extending an offer, HII's Mission Technologies division takes a variety of factors into consideration including the role's function and a candidate's education or training, work experience, and key skills.
