Role Responsibilities
- Techically lead or execute complex electrical engineering projects, including the development of key suppliers
- Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of complex electrical problems
- Design, specify, or modify electrical engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, or drawings of complex scope
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding complex electrical issues for specific projects
- Implement concepts for a wide range of complex product issues and solutions
- Generate product specifications; specify or perform engineering analysis
- Define, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reports
- Lead moderately complex functional or project teams, as applicable
- Clearly communicate difficult concepts and influence varied perspectives
- Support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for process power modules used in semiconductor process chambers, including RF matchers, RF generators, and high-voltage power supplies
- Communicate with customer engineers to understand High Value Problems and drive resolution
- Utilize engineering experimentation, modeling, and simulation to replicate customer issues and validate solutions
- Develop a deep understanding of existing equipment—including hardware and firmware—to resolve performance and quality issues
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7-10 years of experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience with project management and the Applied Materials product development life cycle
- Demonstrated experience leading teams
- Experience supporting complex semiconductor process equipment, particularly process-critical power modules (RF/HV)
- Strong background in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective action methodologies
