RF Network Engineer - Tactical Communications

About the role

The RF Network Engineer supports tactical communication and network systems across naval, aerial, vehicular, and field assets. Responsibilities include deploying, installing, configuring, and managing networking hardware such as routers, switches, radios, and satellite terminals to ensure secure, reliable, and interoperable connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, install, configure, and manage networking hardware including routers, switches, radios, and satellite terminals.
• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for network systems.
• Maintain and optimize system performance to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Apply knowledge of mesh networks, network management tools, RF principles, and hardware configuration.
• Implement security protocols and operational standards.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience with military communication standards and tools such as WinTAK/ATAK.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with tactical radios and satellite systems.
• Cisco networking experience.
