Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance in the architecture and design of RF spectrum monitoring systems, considering frequency bands, modulation schemes, power requirements, and system integration.
- Identify and develop innovative RF monitoring solutions to address evolving mission requirements and geolocation challenges of RF signals.
- Conduct advanced analysis of RF monitoring systems using simulation tools and models to optimize performance.
- Triangulate radio frequency interference sources, expand system capability, and enhance mission success.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to deliver integrated and optimized system solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Certifications: DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II (or ability to obtain within 90 days), such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, Security+, or SSCP.
- Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience implementing and supporting RF systems.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of RF principles and communication systems, including Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Hands-on experience with SIGINT/COMINT systems.
- Proficiency in transmitter geolocation methods (RSSI, line-of-bearing direction finding, Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA)).
- Knowledge of military and commercial communication systems (tactical radios, VHF, UHF, LMR, ADS-B, voice).
- Familiarity with wireless communication standards (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G).
