About the role

We are seeking an RF Design Engineer to join our growing team at our Andover, MA facility. Our team works on cutting-edge design and product development, offering a mix of electronics laboratory testing and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and production of complex multi-function modules used in challenging high reliability applications.
  • Design and develop circuits, modules, and sub-systems from initial concept through prototyping and full-rate production.
  • Work on complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
  • Work independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational products.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers on our team.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including hardware engineers, system engineers, and circuit design engineers as well as technician and manufacturing support personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8+ years of professional experience; or 6+ years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • Extensive experience with RF design at the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), subsystem, or module level.
  • Experience with Schematic Capture, RF Block Diagrams Reviews, and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
  • Extensive experience with troubleshooting design and resolving integration issues.
  • Experience with the use of microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers, and tools such as ADS, CST Microwave Studio, and HFSS.
  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance and be able to obtain at least an interim secret level security clearance before starting the position.

Qualifications

  • Considered an emerging authority.

Skills

  • Masters Degree in electrical engineering or closely related technical field is desired.
  • Significant relevant experience in the defense electronics industry is desired.
  • Expertise with RF subsystem and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits and/or frequency conversion circuits is desired.
  • Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools is desired.
  • Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques is desired.
  • Expertise with technical documentation such as specification, schematic diagram and test data is strongly desired.
  • Experience leading successful technical projects is a plus.
