RF Engineer

About the role

Amentum is seeking an RF Engineer to provide technical and engineering support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electromagnetic environment (EME) and radio frequency (RF) assessments of DoD surface vessels, submarines, and shore facilities for hazards to ordnance, personnel, and fuel as part of the RADHAZ Survey Team.
• Travel worldwide to measure EMEs, analyze data, conduct research, and develop technical reports that provide operational guidance for Fleet personnel.
• Conduct RADHAZ desktop analysis and develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a scientific or engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Physics.
• Demonstrated knowledge and capability to conduct RF measurements.
• One year of general experience in electronics, physics, or RF energy.
• One year of experience with conducting, analyzing, or testing electronic systems or conducting RF measurements.
• Average 25% CONUS travel and occasional OCONUS travel.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Must have at minimum an interim Secret-level security clearance prior to start.

Pay

US: $70,000 to $85,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
