About the role
Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for an RF/Digital PCB Designer to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance.
Responsibilities
- Create schematics, creation of PCB library components, layout, manufacturing, and verification.
- Familiar with common analog and digital components.
- Gather requirements for a circuit board and then create a concept for preliminary approval. The design concept would include evaluating power for the circuit board and selecting power supplies.
- Create both a schematic and a layout for PCBs.
- Can interface with PCB manufacturers and address manufacturing issues.
- Use basic lab test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience designing PCBs.
- Familiarity with basic analog and digital components.
- Experience in evaluating power needs for a circuit board and selecting power supplies.
- Experience with schematic and layout tools.
- Experience managing a PCB component library.
- Experience interfacing with a PCB fab vendor and addressing issues.
- Experience testing PCBs using common lab test equipment: digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and signal generator.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Experience with Siemens/Mentor Graphics Expedition schematic, library manager, and layout tools.
- Experience with RF components, PCB design, and test.
- Experience with RF test equipment including vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
- Understanding of signal integrity.
- Experience with high-speed digital design.
- Experience implementing FPGAs, ADCs, DACs, and PLLs on circuit boards.
