Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled RF Design Engineer to lead the development of innovative wireless systems. In this end-to-end role, you will design, simulate, and validate Sub-GHz and Wi-Fi/BLE radio systems, as well as perform RF PCB layout and integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF architecture, PCB design, and certification processes, playing a key role in delivering cutting-edge RF solutions for retail and industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and validate Sub-GHz and Wi-Fi/BLE radio systems
- Perform RF PCB layout and integration
- Take RF products through FCC/CE certification with minimal non-conformances
- Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and test teams
- Support environmental testing and field failure analysis as needed
- Work with external labs for testing and certification processes
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Sub-GHz ISM radios (e.g., 850-950 MHz) and Wi-Fi/BLE coexistence
- Proficiency in RF layout, impedance control, stack-up, and parasitic management
- Skilled in RF simulation and analysis using Dassault CST, Siemens HyperLynx, Keysight ADS, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of antenna evaluation and integration (chip, PCB trace, external, diversity)
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing DFM/DFT practices
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5–8+ years of experience owning RF design from concept through production
- Must be U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
Nice to Have Skills
- Knowledge of OTA, SAR, and EMC testing environments
- Familiarity with chipsets from Qualcomm, NXP, Nordic, TI, or Silicon Labs
- Experience with EM analysis for antenna tuning and layout-dependent parasitics
- Mentoring junior engineers and leading design reviews
- IPC CID certification (plus)
