About the Role

To lead and motivate a group of production operators to meet the company's goals in terms of quality, schedule, yield, and productivity according to procedure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in managing the line whenever necessary or when instructed, driving operators to achieve satisfactory machine utilization and efficiency with minimum downtime.
• Highlight high fallout to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Achieve daily standards set by the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Identify and develop potential operators to handle the right equipment at the right time and motivate them for greater throughput, quality, and efficiency.
• Guide and assist operators in the skills required to perform their jobs.
• Monitor and update hourly production status.
• Monitor the CIQ system and ensure it is implemented properly in the production line.
• Ensure work meets or exceeds all standards.
• Serve as a communication link between operators and management.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a personal computer, including using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read/understand visual aids.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.
