Description
The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented Unwind / Rewind Operator to inspect and rewind finished label products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. This role is critical to verifying product integrity, performing 100% visual inspections, and preparing finished jobs for shipment—particularly within regulated and pharmaceutical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate and operate the tabletop counter.
- Conduct visual inspections of labels to identify defects.
- Rewire and slit jobs according to specifications.
- Splice rolls together using scissors and tape or a splicing table, following customer splicing requirements.
- Set up and operate 100% visual inspection systems.
- Prepare core labels, shipper labels, and Certificates of Compliance.
- Follow pharmaceutical procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including required documentation.
- Perform basic system and equipment maintenance.
- Follow all safety rules and work efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and quality requirements.
What You Need To Succeed
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Basic math skills, including reading a ruler and performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
