The technology team offers planning and design services in a wide range of specialty areas including: audiovisual, IT/telecommunications, building security, lighting, healthcare technologies, and architectural acoustics/noise vibration. The Revit Specialists are valuable members of the team, working in a team environment to produce accurate drawings of architectural elements and low voltage systems as directed by System Designers. The possible career path includes Revit Specialist, Senior Revit Specialist, Assistant Designer, and Systems Designer. This is a full-time, hybrid position with flexible work hours and full benefits. The ideal candidate will work from the NV5 office in Naperville IL one – three days/week, but we are open to other arrangements for highly qualified candidates. Responsibilities Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce high-quality project documentation with accuracy and efficiencyAdhere to drafting and engineering design standards, suggesting improvements where applicableAssist in the final assembly and submission of drawing setsCoordinate with Architects and other design team members to ensure that all drafting and related work is completed on a timely basisManage priorities with various project leaders and with consistent workflowWork independently and in a team environment with project managers and architectural clientsComplete project related organizational and administrative dutiesStay current with emerging CAD/BIM technologies products/services, guidelines, standards and their applicability to potential projects Qualifications Completion of a certificate/diploma in Computer Aided Drafting from an accredited school, or commensurate experience in Revit draftingTwo years full-time experience drafting in a professional environmentExpertise in the use of Autodesk Revit MEP or Revit ArchitectureExpertise in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD is not required, but is preferredExpertise in architectural drafting standards and methodologyWorking knowledge of Blue Beam RevuKnowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Excel and MS WordCompetency in the use of email, file management, uploading/downloading of files to/from FTP sites and basic computing tasksAttention to detailExcellent verbal and written communications with clientsOrganizational skills and the ability to be flexibleAbility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Show initiative; be a self-starter and be able to work autonomously or within a groupAble to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of timePrior experience in the drafting and documentation of audiovisual systems, IT/telecom, structured cabling, security systems, lighting systems and/or electrical systems is not required, but is preferred
