About the Role
The Golf Services Attendant plays a key role in ensuring a positive experience for guests at the golf course. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining golf carts, assisting guests with their bags, and keeping all service areas clean and well-stocked.
Responsibilities
- Set up bag drop, cart staging, and driving range areas before guests arrive.
- Ensure all areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Greet arriving guests, unload and shuttle bags, park cars, answer questions, and provide directions.
- Stage golf carts for guest use and maintain the driving range.
- Keep the cart barn clean and well-organized.
- Perform cart maintenance and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Maintain constant communication with the Starter/Greeter, Guest Services Manager, Golf Shop, Cart Attendants, Bag Handlers, and Player Assistants.
- Assist departing guests with bag loading, car retrieval, and thank them for visiting.
- Assist the Starter/Greeter with bag handling and other guest needs.
- Ensure all golf carts are clean, stocked, and parked properly in the staging area.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including securing the owner’s assets.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Customer service experience.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Exceptional grooming habits; must maintain a clean and complete uniform as designated by management.
- Available to work on all major holidays.
- Must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Physical, Environmental, Cognitive, and Social Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
- Ability to stand for long periods, sometimes outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot and cold).
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate to loud noise levels, and outside weather conditions.
- Frequent stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, climbing, and kneeling in and out of golf carts.
- Twisting at the neck and waist, reaching above and below shoulder level.
- Pushing and pulling when retrieving, storing, and moving golf bags.
- Use of dominant hand and fingers for fine manipulation (e.g., detailing carts, cleaning clubs, using two-way radios).
