About the role
The Revenue Recovery Lead will build the systems, processes, and customer touchpoints to ensure timely revenue recovery. They will stand up AR aging visibility, design and implement automated outreach workflows, and develop the escalation framework from first reminder to write-off.
Responsibilities
- Stand up AR aging visibility from current dashboards, reporting, and segmentation by product line and delinquency stage.
- Design and implement automated outreach workflows that respect the nuances of how and when our customers are billed.
- Evaluate and establish vendor relationships for late-stage recovery.
- Document dispute resolution processes and SLAs.
- Talk to customers directly to understand why they aren’t paying, what’s confusing, and what’s broken in the experience.
- Use AI tools aggressively to automate outreach, classify disputes vs. true delinquency, and reduce manual work.
- Build the measurement infrastructure: DSO, bad debt rates, recovery rates by channel and cohort.
- Own the compliance layer and make sure our approach is airtight.
- Develop the escalation framework from first reminder to write-off — creating these thresholds from scratch.

- Uses AI in work, not just as a novelty, but as a core part of getting more done.
- A great communicator who handles nuanced conversations with empathy, clarity, and firmness.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and ambiguity is exciting rather than scary.
- Analytically strong, fluent in spreadsheets, and comfortable in SQL or willing to learn it.
Qualifications
- No single background is a perfect match, but working in consumer tax resolution, personal injury or contingency-fee law firm operations, healthcare revenue cycle management, consumer lending or fintech, or high-growth startup operations is a plus.
