Revenue Cycle Support Specialist

About the role

The Revenue Cycle Support Specialist supports all Revenue Cycle departments, serving as system administrators for various applications. Key responsibilities include managing user access, password resets, database maintenance, NJ State reporting, report execution, data validation, and inputting data.

Responsibilities

• Supporting NJ State reporting through the appointed claims processing vendor, including uploading claim files, correcting rejected claims, reconciling Star visits to State accepted claims, and updating tables as needed.
• Executing, formatting, and distributing reports such as the I9999 billing and accounting report, Medicaid Expansion Report, and First and Second of the Month reports.
• Maintaining and updating tables in multiple financial applications, running scripts in Boston Work Station, and adjusting billing parameters and claim load/edit parameters.
• Performing daily room charge reconciliation, advising revenue integrity on fallouts, and adding or deleting days as directed.
• Assisting in troubleshooting departmental issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Participating in the testing and implementation of new or enhanced Revenue Cycle applications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• HFMA: CRCR or Litmos Certified Professional Revenue Cycle Master required, or must be obtained within 6 months of employment; must pass exam within 2 attempts to maintain in position required.
• 1 - 3 years' experience in Hospital, Medical practice, or healthcare with scheduling, registration, insurance verification, or billing.
