Revenue Cycle Specialist Front-End

About the Role

Southcoast Health is searching for a talented Revenue Cycle Specialist Front-End to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. This per diem position offers flexible shifts with weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient registration, insurance verification, pre-registration, and point of service collections
• Ensure accurate patient data and educate patients on financial responsibilities
• Provide financial counseling referrals and manage Medicare compliance (IM and MOON forms)
• Oversee valuables management and morgue coordination
• Deliver customer service and ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams
• Provide on-site coverage at public arrival desks and the Emergency Department

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Medical Terminology Certificate preferred
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills including medical based programs
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other software programs preferred
• Over three years related health care experience including working with third party payers preferred
• CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) encouraged
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Pay

USD $17.86 - USD $28.76 /Hr.

Schedule

Flexible shifts and hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm, 11:00am - 7:00pm, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, or 11:15pm - 7:15am with weekend and holiday rotation. Per diem requirements apply.
