Responsibilities
- Compliance, auditing, reporting and general operational support for Ambulatory Pharmacy Services
- Focusing on Plans, organizing and conducting operations affecting Pharmacy revenue cycle, such as billing, collections, and payment processing
- Recommending and implementing processes to meet revenue cycle goals in collaboration with pharmacies
- Conducting related training, monitoring, analysis, and reporting on revenue cycle processes and results
- Recommending and implementing pharmacy-specific process improvement recommendations
Requirements
- A high level of familiarity with Willow Ambulatory Point of Sale system, part of the EPIC software platform
- Experience with EPIC post electronic files, self-pay payments, third-party commercial payments, reverse charge off accounts sent to the collection agency, manual insurance payments, denials, credit card payments and authorization
- Ability to process patient refunds, respond to incoming questions using telephone and electronic communication methods, troubleshoot problem identification, quantification, and resolution
- Assisting with the development of monthly schedule, outlining individual duties and responsibilities, including electronic file processing, manual payment posting, refunding, Self-Pay and CC Payments
- Entering problems, employee errors, transactions and questions into respective databases and following issues through to resolution
- Supporting payer audits, including quarterly Medicare and Medicaid Credit Balance reports and additional credit balance reports issued by external partners
- Reconciling client billing on a monthly basis
- Assisting with credit balance work queues as needed
- Recommending improvements to policies and procedures
- Assisting with the review of existing policy and procedure manuals
Qualifications
- Associate's degree and 1 year of relevant experience required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Pharmacy or Medical Billing Experience preferred

- Must be able to work independently and communicate fluently via email, phone, and in-person
