Position Overview

The role is the internal business parter for a wide range of Revenue Cycle departmental needs, projects, and essential functions including managing cross departmental requests, acting as the liaison to IT to aid in data integrity, accuracy, and performance of revenue cycle application systems. This role focuses on organization and collaboration to optimize system configuration, clearinghouse functions, and supporting key processes that directly impact reimbursement accuracy and operational efficiency. Directly supports leadership meetings, implementations, and needed change control as it pertains to Revenue Cycle applications, both internal and external.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or combination of education and relevant experience, minimum of three years in Revenue Cycle operations, and/or Healthcare systems administration.

  • Experience: Three years in Revenue Cycle operations, and/or Healthcare systems administration.

  • Proficiency in front end user functionality in Electronic Medical Records and/or systems management and data reporting.

Other Credentials

  • Knowledge and Skills: Detailed oriented with an emphasis in handling multiple projects at once. Possesses high level understanding of clearinghouse functionalities, third-party portals, payor regulations and billing requirements, and government reimbursement programs. Ability to run and interpret billing, coding and revenue reports.

  • Special Training: Intermediate Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Electronic Data Interchange claims submission evaluation and/or understanding required. Experience with Athena, Cerner, and/or Epic preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and relate to the Information Technology team, Revenue Cycle vendors, and other departmental Revenue Cycle leaders.
