About the role

As our Part-Time Revenue Auditor at Ellis Park Racing & Gaming, you’ll act as a financial detective, balancing the books across departments, identifying trends, and ensuring smooth operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving puzzles, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily audits across cost centers, including Gaming, Cage, Food & Beverage, and Mutuels.
• Draft preliminary revenue journal entries in alignment with GAAP and the company’s chart of accounts.
• Build and distribute daily financial reports to keep leadership informed of operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with property standard operating procedures and internal controls.
• Investigate and resolve financial variances, communicating findings clearly.
• Maintain organized archives of key financial documents for regulatory compliance.
• Take on additional tasks and special projects as the business evolves.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting or revenue audit settings.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Regularly required to stand, speak, hear, and use hands/arms; occasional sitting.
