About the Role

Responsible for daily audits of records for assigned revenue-generating departments to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and company and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Audits daily records of assigned revenue-generating departments in accordance with established procedures.
• Determines compliance with gaming regulations and company/department policies and procedures.
• Prepares manual and computer accounting records and reports.
• Works with operating departments to ensure accuracy of accounting records.
• Reconciles assigned accounts.
• Prepares and inputs daily income journals.
• Prepares periodic reports of activities.
• Cross-trains other team members as appropriate.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
• Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
• Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
• May include soft count responsibilities but not in a supervisory role.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older.
• High school diploma or GED; AA degree in Accounting preferred.
• Two years of Accounting/Bookkeeping experience with exposure to a broad range of financial activities.
• Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must pass an Excel skills test and Accounting competency test.
• Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.

Work Environment

Work takes place in an office environment with occasional exposure to a busy resort and gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. Occasionally, the work environment will be in locations exposed to smoke.

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
