About the role
We are looking for an experienced Revenue Accountant to support oil and gas revenue operations in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This long-term contract opportunity is well suited for a detail-oriented individual who can interpret revenue activity, maintain accurate reporting, and manage division-related accounting tasks with precision. The role will contribute to timely financial analysis and consistent revenue processing within a fast-paced energy environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage production revenue accounting activities for oil and gas assets, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on schedule.
- Review revenue data, investigate discrepancies, and provide clear analysis to support informed financial decisions.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc revenue reports for internal stakeholders, emphasizing accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate division transfer accounting activities and maintain supporting documentation for ownership-related changes.
- Use WolfePak to process revenue information, reconcile records, and assist with ongoing accounting workflows.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including gas marketing and accounting partners, to resolve revenue-related questions.
- Monitor account activity and perform reconciliations to confirm revenue balances align with operational and financial records.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in revenue accounting within the oil and gas industry.
- Working knowledge of production revenue processes and revenue reporting practices.
- Proficiency with WolfePak or comparable accounting software used in oil and gas environments.
- Experience handling division transfers and related ownership or revenue allocation adjustments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify variances and interpret revenue trends.
- Familiarity with gas marketing activities and their impact on revenue accounting.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a contract assignment.
