Returning New Grad Engineer I - Winter/Summer 2027 - Mid Atlantic Division (For Current/Former HNTB Interns Only)
About the role
This position is for current/former HNTB interns only. It involves assisting in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. The role includes supporting the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations, assisting in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates, and providing administrative support for design files and various tasks such as research, data collection, field investigations, and design of projects.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
- Supports the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
- Affords assistance in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
- Supports engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
- Affords support to engineering teams with various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Qualifications
- Exhibits an understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.
- Attains knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCad or other software.

Pay
The approximate pay range for Washington, DC is $76,367.81 - $114,551.72. The approximate pay range for Maryland is $69,727.13 - $104,590.70. The approximate pay range for Virginia is $66,406.79 - $114,551.72.
