Retread Technician - Albertville, AL

About the role

This position functions as a manufacturing environment where commercial truck tires are retreaded through a series of manual and automated processes. No previous retread manufacturing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Train for all aspects of retread tire manufacturing, including inspecting and buffing tire carcasses, applying rubber compounds, curing, and quality control.
• Follow processes to ensure retread tire completion.
• Comply with all safety and liability guidelines and policies, including using protective safety equipment to ensure safe operation of machines.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting (including commercial tires and wheels), standing, bending, and squatting.
• Complete any other duties requested by management.

Requirements

• Commitment to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
• Must be willing to work scheduled shifts including weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
• Self-starter willing to take initiative and work without direct supervision.
• Willingness to attend appropriate training sessions.
