Responsibilities

• Operate cookers to pasteurize/sterilize products to required standards
• Maintain clear communication with the Quality Assurance Department
• Set recipes according to product specifications
• Monitor boiler pressure, air pressure, water flow, and equipment performance
• Install and monitor charts on chart recorders
• Set machines and conduct pre-op inspections
• Verify can codes, can sizes, and counts
• Accurately complete State documents and reports
• Verify and document initial temperatures, cooking times, pressures, and other critical factors
• Operate forklifts and utilize RF scanners
• Operate Moleenar Robot
• Clear equipment jams safely
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Maintain productivity and efficiency standards
• Follow safety rules and participate in hazard identification
• Report food safety and quality issues to supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Three to six months related experience or training
• Ability to perform calculations and communicate effectively
• Machine operator background preferred
• Familiarity with forklift operation and propane type driving

Pay

• Retort Trainee: $24.02/hour
• Retort Operator II: $28.38/hour
• Retort Operator III: $33.00/hour

Schedule

Shifts may vary, including weekends and overtime as needed.
