Position Summary

The ERISA Consultant provides retirement plan consulting and technical support to Ascensus clients, addressing a wide range of compliance, plan design, and operational issues. This role conducts technical research, drafts responses, and assists in resolving issues.

About the Role

This is not a typical co-op. This high impact Business Service/Operations and Strategy co-op is designed for motivated students in their final co-op rotation who want real responsibility, real exposure, and a clear path to a full-time role after graduation. You’ll work side by side with experienced leaders (across: Service & Operations, FuturePlan, Retirement Services, and Partner Solutions) on projects that directly influence how we improve client experience, strengthen partnerships, and scale our business.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting service and partner insights, including dashboards and executive ready summaries
  • Aiding with partner governance and operating rhythms, ensuring strong execution and delivery
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, service experience, and scalability
  • Turning analysis into clear, concise leadership-level communications and presentations
  • Major Projects: Client Retention; Client Satisfaction and Driving Loyalty

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Experience with retirement plan administration and compliance
  • Knowledge of ERISA regulations and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information

$40,000 - $45,000 annually
