Position Summary: The Retirement Plan Specialist will serve in a cross-functional role supporting the tactical day-to-day execution of the strategies established by Two West’s Retirement Plan Consulting Team, a Higginbotham Partner. The Retirement Plan Specialist will support advisors on the Retirement Plan Consulting Team in the areas of client services, new business development and general operations. This is an entry-level position designed for a recent college graduate seeking a career in the retirement plan industry, with the opportunity to advance into a Retirement Plan Consultant role. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Tasks: Client Services (40%) Support advisors serving their plan sponsor clients with regards to investments, ERISA compliance, plan design and service provider management.Attend client meetings to gain experience towards managing future client relationships.Maintain client data to ensure plan details, pipeline and task lists remain up to date.Assist with routine plan servicing and follow-up tasks.Coordinate with advisors and plan sponsor clients to facilitate group education meetings and one-on-one participant meetings. Sales & Marketing (30%) Assist in the preparation of presentations to new business opportunities.Support advisors in sales pipeline management.Prepare recordkeeper vendor proposals for advisor review. Practice Operations (30%) Prepare fiduciary review presentations, participant education decks and other communications.Review and format meeting minutes for advisor approval and client delivery.Schedule client meetings and coordinate advisor and client calendars.Pull plan data from recordkeepers to support client review discussions.Triage plan sponsor inquiries and coordinate resolution with the appropriate resource.Learn processes in the areas of investment analysis, invoicing and revenue collection, and CRM system management.
