About the role

Empower's Retirement Plan Advisor assists individuals in achieving a successful retirement and planning their financial future through group and individual presentations to new and existing defined contribution Government 457 plan participants. This role uses data-driven, analytical thinking to lead impactful conversations with participants, meets client service level agreements, and achieves annual targets as assigned. The Advisor will also assist the Relationship Management team in establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within Western Tennessee. This position requires in-person meetings with participants and must be based in the Western Tennessee territory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Retirement Readiness Reviews, individual meetings, and group presentations with targeted participants using consultative expertise to improve retirement outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders for each location within the assigned territory or for assigned employer-sponsored plans.
  • Conduct one-on-one virtual and on-site group meetings using various technologies in a professional manner.
  • Manage meeting schedule, including travel booking.
  • Create and execute dynamic business plans and tactics to drive positive retirement income objectives for participants.
  • Document interactions in Salesforce and collect required information to adhere to guidelines for regulatory compliance.
  • Achieve plan-level and individual goals to help meet service level agreements and business results.
  • Participate in client meetings, sales finals, or other external meetings as needed.
  • Work collaboratively across internal service and management teams to improve effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3–5 years of relevant financial services experience.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strategic thinker who can work independently.
  • Strong relationship-building and territory management skills.
  • FINRA Series 6, 63, 65 registrations required within an established timeline; current FINRA registrations strongly preferred.
  • FINRA fingerprinting required upon hire.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available, including CPT/OPT).

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Working knowledge of building blocks for successful retirement planning preferred.
  • Basic understanding of defined contribution plans preferred.
  • Practical experience providing high-level, consultative client interactions preferred.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $72,200.00 - $101,975.00. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level.
