About the role

Retirement Income Specialists work closely with their team to develop and execute an appropriate business plan to meet and exceed revenue goals in a specific territory. You’ll maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, convert dormant clients into producing clients, and acquire new business within the territory. You provide superior service and demonstrate prompt execution to support advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Make proactive sales calls to share annuity sales concepts and sales successes, identify sales opportunities, provide product information, gather marketing data, and offer sales support.
  • Execute marketing activities as determined by the leadership team, including webinars, e-newsletters, video messaging, carrier-sponsored events, and advisor recognition and appreciation programs.
  • Drive electronic order entry to streamline new business for advisors.
  • Find solutions to service issues and overcome carrier deficiencies when applicable.
  • Deliver effective presentations to promote Ash Brokerage products, services, resources, and competitive advantages.
  • Respond to inbound service and sales-related calls, providing an excellent customer experience to all internal and external customers.
  • Perform outbound call campaigns to increase sales above rate-sensitive fluctuations.
  • Utilize the contact management system to create and maintain all advisor interactions and data on current and proposed sales activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in business, finance, or a related field, plus a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Resident state life and health insurance license required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Registered with broker-dealer within 180 days of hire.
  • Series 7 within first 12 months.
  • Experience in annuity and securities product sales is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Competitive analysis experience is preferred.
  • Occasional travel within the territory (less than 10%).

  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail to ensure speed and accuracy in completion of projects.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and mobile device usage.
