About the role

Solutions-oriented? Positive mindset? If so, a role as a Sales and Customer Solutions Representative at Spectrum might be right for you. In this individual contributor role, you will act as the first line of support, diving deep into customer issues and problem-solving in real time to ensure customer loyalty and strengthen the Spectrum brand.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound customer calls, actively listening to and investigating customers’ concerns.
  • Resolve stated issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate the ongoing value of our products and services, as well as new features or solutions that align with the customer’s needs.
  • Overcome objections for those considering canceling or downgrading services.
  • Upsell or cross-sell products and services as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions.

Requirements

Up to 1 year of sales experience required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Demonstrated working knowledge of cable communications products and services to include video (TV), data (internet) and voice (telephone).

Ability to work variable hours; may include weekends, holidays, and split days off.

Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight forward, and professional manner.

Ability to apply appropriate customer solutions and sales techniques and demonstrate sustained achievement of stated customer solutions goals.

Effective computer and consumer electronics skills.

Ability to use personal computer and relevant software applications including the billing system.

Proven verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to handle irate customers and resolve issues.

Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.

Skills

  • Proactive engagement with current customers to understand their needs and ensure their continued satisfaction.
  • Identifying and presenting product and service bundles and solutions.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills to overcome objections.
  • Customer solutions and sales techniques.
