About the role

Join the Ashley Family as a Retail Warehouse Associate and help bring quality furniture to millions of homes across America. This role offers opportunities to master warehouse operations, product preparation and repairs, material handling, equipment operation, inventory management, and quality assurance while developing valuable skills.

Responsibilities

  • Safely receive, move, store, assemble, and prepare furniture and home furnishings throughout the warehouse and distribution process.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, lifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, while following all safety procedures.
  • Inspect, prepare, and maintain merchandise to ensure products meet Ashley quality standards before customer pickup or delivery.
  • Load, unload, organize, and stage merchandise to support efficient warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
  • Absorb product preparation, minor repairs, touch-ups, and repackaging to ensure merchandise is customer-ready.
  • Support inventory management activities, including merchandise tracking, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service by creating positive experiences for customers in the warehouse and in their homes, serving as a professional and trusted representative of the Ashley brand.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while completing required documentation accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Able to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver furniture and merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance for heavier items as needed, while performing frequent physical activity throughout the workday.
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, furniture handling, inventory, assembly, material handling, or powered industrial equipment operation is preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
  • Committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards for product quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator who works collaboratively with customers, teammates, and leaders to support a positive, productive work environment.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, dependable attendance, adaptability, and a commitment to following safety procedures and company policies.

Skills
