Retail Warehouse Associate

Essential Functions

• Fulfills order requests and provides effective customer service.
• Designs appealing store displays, replenishes stock items, and conducts physical inventory.
• Processes exchanges and returns, adhering to loss prevention policies.
• Works in assigned department to provide exceptional internal & external customer service.
• Utilizes computer database to retrieve & research information for customers & department.
• Assists with eCommerce, order fulfillment, and text rental process.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with University Store merchandise in all departments.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, flexibility, ability to multitask, and work well with interruptions.
• Accuracy and attention to detail, time management, good spelling & writing skills, and good math skills.
• Knowledge of computer systems.
• Facilitate merchandise flow by receiving merchandise, assisting with order fulfillment, moving product on & off sales floor in a timely manner.
• Stock shelves & merchandise incoming products, verify stock numbers.
• Conduct physical inventory in select subject areas.
• Locate & process stock targeted by buyer for return.
• Verify & supply information to facilitate accurate returns in compliance with vendor return policy.
• Ability to lift cartons up to 50 lbs.
• Extensive data entry that includes assisting with requisitions & other stock orders, including pending orders, sales catalogs, best sellers, general merchandise orders.
• Verify organizational & institutional qualifications. Correct, edit, verify or delete data for accurate database maintenance.
• Awareness of & adherence to all loss prevention policies & procedures.

Physical Effort

• Stand and/or walk for long hours.
• Lift and move heavy objects (50 pounds or more).
• Push or pull heavy pallets and merchandise dollies.
• Sitting, standing, and walking.
• Frequent lifting, carrying and moving heavy objects, up to 50lbs.
• Standing for long hours at a time.

Work Schedule

Sunday – Saturday flexible schedule, must be available to work holidays, evenings and weekends.

Work Arrangement

On-Campus: Teams that work on campus, in an office, or in a lab.

Hiring Range

$16.50/hour
