Retail Supervisor- University of Michigan- North Store

About the role

Our retail supervisors create the ultimate fan experience. We prioritize delivering a legendary experience every time a fan enters the store, fostering an environment unlike any other sporting goods store. Responsibilities

• Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team and fan base.
• Greet guests and make sales recommendations based on their interests.
• Operate POS systems with excellent accuracy.
• Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, restocking, and other assigned tasks.
• Present merchandise to increase sales through add-on items, describing features, benefits, and uses.
• Stay current on promotions, sales, and campus events (athletics and general).
• Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts; assist in inventory processes.
• Increase knowledge of products, facility, and all events held at the store.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Read and implement plan-o-grams.
• Assist the store set-up team with merchandising event gift shops, including plan-o-grams, merchandise placement, inventory control, and cleaning of shops and fixtures.

Requirements

• Honesty and integrity in all actions and language.
• Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary changes.
• Excellent customer service and selling skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours on event days, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in a comparable company.
• Accuracy in opening and closing procedures; experience managing store associates as a retail supervisor.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• Innovative and self-starter, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work nontraditional hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Adaptability to changing duties and responsibilities in other areas as needed.

Skills

• Merchandising skills (a plus).

Pay
