Retail Supervisor- University of Michigan- North Store

Our retail supervisors create the ultimate fan experience. We prioritize delivering a legendary experience every time a fan enters the store, fostering an environment unlike any other sporting goods store. Responsibilities
- Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team and fan base.
- Greet guests and make sales recommendations based on their interests.
- Operate POS systems with excellent accuracy.
- Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, restocking, and other assigned tasks.
- Present merchandise to increase sales through add-on items, describing features, benefits, and uses.
- Stay current on promotions, sales, and campus events (athletics and general).
- Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts; assist in inventory processes.
- Increase knowledge of products, facility, and all events held at the store.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Read and implement plan-o-grams.
- Assist the store set-up team with merchandising event gift shops, including plan-o-grams, merchandise placement, inventory control, and cleaning of shops and fixtures.
Requirements
- Honesty and integrity in all actions and language.
- Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary changes.
- Excellent customer service and selling skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours on event days, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in a comparable company.
- Accuracy in opening and closing procedures; experience managing store associates as a retail supervisor.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Innovative and self-starter, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work nontraditional hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Adaptability to changing duties and responsibilities in other areas as needed.
Skills
- Merchandising skills (a plus).
