Responsibilities
- Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
- Responsible for leadership tasks as delegated by the Store Manager, including acting as Manager on Duty to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues.
- Partner with the Sales Leadership Team to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
- Perform opening and closing routines, including bank deposits, receipt of shipments, and interpreting/disseminating company directives.
- Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work.
- Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
- Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences by demonstrating selling behaviors rooted in Our Values and elevated product knowledge.
- Create genuine connections with customers by uncovering needs, sharing product information, demoing products, and making personalized recommendations.
- Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience.
- Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging store environment by adhering to safety standards and expectations.
- Maintain our values, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a retail setting.
- Thrives in a customer-first retail environment.
- Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
- Effective communication skills, openness to feedback, and adaptability.
- Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
- Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
- Availability to work peak days and times, including varied shifts of evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education: High school diploma, GED certificate, or Relevant Work Experience.
