Retail Store Manager-GOVERNORS SQUARE

About the Role

As a Store Manager at Bath & Body Works, you will develop outstanding associates, deliver exceptional and consistent customer experiences, and positively impact growth. Our store leaders are retail and customer-savvy, dedicated brand ambassadors who thrive on connecting with customers.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent, including the store leadership team (SLT).
• Set and reinforce clear performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates through effective and fair leadership.
• Own and delegate leadership tasks to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues.
• Partner with the SLT to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
• Implement and sustain floorset direction to optimize business and bring the product story to life.
• Perform opening and closing routines, including bank deposits, shipment receipt, and dissemination of company directives.
• Set daily/shift direction and goals for associates.
• Provide individual and team performance feedback.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and maintaining a selling focus.
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences by demonstrating selling behaviors rooted in company values and elevated product knowledge.
• Create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs, sharing product information, demoing products, and making personalized recommendations.
• Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and customer experience.
• Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates.
• Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and engagement by adhering to all safety standards and expectations.
• Uphold company values, policies, and procedures.

This role requires constant physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting. Associates must climb ladders, lift, reach, bend, and kneel to obtain products and maintain store appearance. Must consistently lift 10 pounds and up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering sales, exceptional customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• 2+ years of experience in a manager role, preferably in retail.
• Ability to thrive in a customer-first retail environment.
• Passion for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
• Effective communication skills, openness to feedback, and adaptability.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Availability to work peak days and times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.
