About the role

As a Store Manager at Bath & Body Works, you will develop outstanding associates, deliver exceptional and consistent customer experiences, and positively impact growth. Our store leaders are retail and customer-savvy, dedicated brand ambassadors who thrive on connections with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent, including the store leadership team (SLT).
  • Set and reinforce clear performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates through effective and fair leadership.
  • Own and delegate leadership tasks to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues.
  • Partner with the SLT to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
  • Implement and sustain floorset direction to optimize business and bring the product story to life.
  • Perform opening and closing routines, including bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and dissemination of company directives.
  • Set daily/shift direction and goals for associates.
  • Provide individual and team performance feedback.
  • Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and maintaining a selling focus.
  • Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences by demonstrating and modeling selling behaviors rooted in company values and elevated product knowledge.
  • Create genuine connections with customers by uncovering needs, sharing product information, demoing products, and making personalized recommendations.
  • Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and customer experience.
  • Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates.
  • Maintain physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Climb ladders, lift, reach, bend, and kneel to obtain products and maintain store appearance.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging store environment.
  • Uphold company values, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering sales, exceptional customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manager role, preferably in retail.
  • Ability to thrive in a customer-first retail environment.
  • Passion for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Effective communication skills, openness to feedback, and adaptability.
  • Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
  • Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
  • Availability to work peak days and times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
