Retail Store Environment Team Member

About the Role

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver the company’s Brand Promises. Provide friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products. Perform cleaning, stocking, and other operational tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and organized retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return them to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment; may require mixing water and detergents for cleaning solutions.
• Perform deep cleaning of key areas, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and high-traffic zones.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in a neat and orderly manner; notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Take initiative to identify and complete cleaning tasks without direct supervision.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience, including cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Capability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
• Outdoor work may be required for tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
• Exposure to standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
• Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.

Pay

Total base pay range for this position: $13.75 - $15.90 per hour. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with state and local laws.
